Visiting Uganda School, Kimbra Founder Barbara Kimbugwe and Dr. Al Sears

Posted in: In the News

During the visit to Uganda from December 2013 to February 2014, the children were very welcoming. We had time to sit and chat with them, addressing their concerns of education and sports uniforms. In addition food was discussed.   The 3 year old kids were concerned about having food and sugar in their porridge during break time.

During this trip, Kimbra Foundation donated $2500.   The donation is specifically for children scholarships, teacher’s salary and food and sugar at New African Child Primary School.

Wellness Research Foundation Director Dr. Sears was very concerned for the kids’ well-being. In addition to Kimbra Foundation’s donation, Wellness Research Foundation donated an additional $2500 as well.  Some kids that Barbara Kimbugwe and Dr. Sears interacted with are orphans. Their parents passed away from HIV/AIDS leaving the kids with no family and also carrying the disease. Dr. Sears’ donation is also for orphan scholarship, provision of medical care and physical improvement of the school health care clinic where kids get their medical attention.
